Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I am head of the tech team here at Locks Online. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now, we are putting these short, little videos together to be able to give you, our customers the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer and hopefully a little bit more details in the flesh, so to speak, and help you make a bit more of an informed decision.
Today we want to talk to you about a range of window restrictors that we have on our website, and specifically this particular type here that's designed for a window that actually is pivot . . . is top hung pivot casement sort of window. So, what you would have is a set of hinges at the top and then you would be able to push the window open at the bottom there and allow you then to open it like that.
This particular part here would actually be fitted to the actual window. These are handed. This is the left hand version here. As you can see, if you were to zoom in there quite close for us there, you would see the 'L' stamped on there to indicate that's the left handed version there as you can see there. This is the actual part that would actually go on the window itself.
Now, this particular part here would then be screwed unto the frame, and the idea is that what you would do is, when it's in that position there like that it would allow you to open the window, and then when you put it to there, you will then be able to close this off like that and it will automatically lock itself. So, the next time then, that you decide you want to open the window, it will only open to that position there. That is as much as it will open.
Now, should you want to then, say, 'Okay, that's fair enough. I want to now clean the window. I want to get the window open,' it comes with a key here and it allows you then to pop that into there like that and with a little bit of twist and so forth, it allows you then to slide that back there like that. You will then drop that down, and now you can open the window its total span that it's designed to open. So, obviously it has its uses, has its designs, has its concepts, etc., and obviously it could actually be fitted as well, if you want it to on a bottom of a casement window as more traditional, sort of, where the casement stay may be as well, but that's what its principal design is.
Available on our website, the measurements are there as well but what I will do, is while I've got this here, is I'll just get myself a quick over all measurement of the overall length of this so it will give you some sort of idea as to how much it will open. So, roughly there, as you can see there, there is measurements on our site, but it will open at roughly round about 100 millimetres, ideal for ventilation and so forth. So there you go, guys, just one of the hundreds if not thousands of products that are on our site.
I hope this little video has just given you an opportunity to see it in the flesh, so to speak and to say, 'I understand that and, yes, I can use that particular on my particular application. But if you need a bit more info on this or any of the products that we have, just pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have, or do it the old-fashioned way and pick up the phone. We'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So, from me Darrel and all the rest of the team, thanks for taking the time and we'll catch up with you soon. Take care. Bye-bye.
