The Loox Compatible 12V LED Peth Strip Light with Infrared Sensor Switch can be surface mounted vertically or horizontally. This makes it the perfect LED for fixing to the insides of cupboards or doors to create chic internal cabinet lighting. Hi, guys. My name's Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
Now today I want to talk to you about the massive range of LED lighting that we have on our sister site, LocksOnline.com. They're no different to this particular type of fitting that we have here in front of us today. It's a sensor light. It's designed to sit in underneath a unit or cabinet, etc. But when you actually move in front of it, it will sense that you're there and will illuminate the back of the cabinet and then shine light then down over whatever is in the cabinet.
This is the actual fitting itself. So the idea would be that it would sit there underneath your shelf like that, and on this particular side here you can see there's a little motion sensor. I don't know if you can zoom in on that for us there. But that's the actual motion sensor there so as you're walking in front of it or moving in front of it, that sensor would pick up the fact that you're in front of it and it'll illuminate for round about the 15 to 20 second mark. And it'll illuminate then this ray of LED lighting here on the other side. And that will obviously shine backward like that and illuminate then whatever is in front. So this particular fitting probably would be more toward the front of the unit as opposed to being in the middle or to the rear. So that's the idea.
The way the fittings work is these would actually be screwed up into the unit like that. And that allows you then to hook those into there. I put one in there and that allows you then, there are three of them, to hold a fitting there underneath the unit like that. So that's the basic principle of how it's actually fitted. Now it comes with a tape here. I'll just put that down for a second. It comes with a tape and shows there then where you need to be putting those fittings. You could pop that up there like that and then put your little pins, and screw your fittings up. And then just clip it into position. So good thought there in regards to its installation.
Now what I have here is a transformer. It's a standard transformer. The one that we recommend is the 30-watt version, but there are different sizes depending on the particular application that you may have. Now as soon as I plug this unit in, because we've got this all powered up so you can see the light working, the very minute I plug it in the motion sensor, within a couple of seconds will detect me and then it will actually stay on then. But of course, as it's detecting movement all the time, because I'm moving all the time, then it's going to stay on. It'll have to see no movement for 15 to 20 seconds ad then it will automatically switch off. So let's plug it in and let's see what type of light we actually get from this fitting.
So it needs to set itself, balance itself there like that. It should now start to settle itself down a little bit. If I start moving in front of this here, there you go. And now it's now settled and now it's illuminated the LED track that's on the back. So if that was situated now in your unit and you're moving on this side here, it's going to just illuminate the LED light to the rear of the cabinet or the unit that you've decided you want to illuminate. If this was some sort of display cabinet, your nice white light, then of course that would give you a lot of detail. So that's the idea.
I mean, I can imagine this under a kitchen unit or something similar like that. When you want to go in a cupboard or in a cabinet, or in a closet, etc. When you decide to come in, as soon as it detects your motion, your movement of you, then it's going to illuminate. Then after a predetermined time it's going to switch itself off. Can be quite bright. Quite bright to see, to be honest with you. That's the actual fitting there, and of course available on our website, LocksOnline.
