Loox 12V LED 2011 White Plastic Flexible Strip Light

Hi, guys. My name's Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
Now today, we're going to talk about our massive range of Loox LED lighting that we have on our LocksOnline.com website. This particular part of our LED lighting unit is our Flexilight. Now, this is a fantastic product if you're looking at wanting create some sort of ambient lighting underneath a kitchen unit, or around a cabinet, or behind something to illuminate a bookshelf, or anything like that, that you think that, "I want a discrete form of lighting." Just to create an ambiance between a shelving system or some sort of unit, or in a glass cabinet, or something.
This is the actual Flexilight here. Now, one of the advantages of this is it's available in a few different sizes. This is the 250mm range, but it's available to a meter long. What you can also do, I don't know if you can zoom in there that close, but you'll actually see there that there's actually little icons there with little scissors. That allows you then, that if your unit was only two of those long, or three of those long, you can actually chop this where you think you want to cut it, so therefore then it can actually be incredibly bespoke, depending on the length that you particularly want. Now, if you're thinking that this is ideal for you, I don't know if you can, again, zoom in close enough to see that this is like a rubber; it's in a rubber epoxy resin.
On the back as well, is a, this is all self-adhesive. So, you can peel off the backing here like that, and you can actually stick this on then, wherever you think that you want to put it. As I've mentioned, it's available in a warm white or in a cool white, depending on your application. Now, once you've decided what length of Flexilight you're looking at, you then need a lead in which will allow you then to connect the Flexilight to a transformer.
Now, this is the typical 12-volt Loox transformer that we sell with this particular type of system, and it allows you to plug up to six different lengths of this particular type of lighting. When you're actually looking at this lighting and looking at doing quite a bit of it, the maximum that this can take is up to 30 watts. So you need to crunch quite a bit of maths in regards to how many lengths that you're going to have here, so you don't overload the transformer.
One of the distinct advantages with this particular system as well is it allows you, via the connection here, to plug in a switch that you can have then, local to whatever you decide that you want to operate your lights with. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to actually plug this all together. We've managed to power this up, so you guys can actually see how the light actually works. So, if I was to plug that in there, it's quite delicate, so you're going to be . . .
So, as you can see now, we've connected it all together, and you can see this beautiful light that's coming out there, that's emanating out of this LED as you can see there. As I've mentioned to you before, you can also plug this switch in. So this is the actual type of switch that's available for this particular type of set up, and it's a little push button switch like that. That's all you can do, and you can hide this in the substrate or wherever you want this particular arrangement to be. That will allow you then to switch on and off via this transformer. The plug on the side now goes into the transformer here like that, and that allows us now, remotely to be able to switch the LEDs on there like that. So that's this particular type of lighting system. It's called the Flexistrip. It's available on our website, LocksOnline.com.
So if you're thinking that this is just ideal, this is really what I'm looking for, bear in mind that you need to have the Flexistrip, you need to have a transformer, and you need to have an extension lead, and then obviously, a switch, or you could switch via the main. It is entire up to you. So, there you go guys, this is the Flexistrip. It's available on our website, LocksOnline.com.
If you need a bit more information, you want a bit more advice, by all means pop online or use our live chat on our website, or by all means give us a call. Either way, we'd love to hear from you and, more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. So, from me, Darrel, and all of us here at the team, take care, and we'll catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye now.
