Loox 12V LED 2005 Bar Light

Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. And thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
Now you may have noticed we've got another website, LocksOnline.com, that deals with a lot more architectural ironmongery products and kitchen fittings and pull handles, etc. and all of the different types of stuff that you might find around the home. One of the things we get asked for a lot is LED lighting and mood lighting, etc. So we've managed to introduce a massive range of LED lighting to compliment that of your kitchen units or your display cabinets etc.
This particular type of strip light, which this particular one here is a very, very popular one, and it comes in two different types of control. There's the dimmable type, which is this one here, which has three stages of dimmable lighting and is controlled by just touching it like that. Or you can have the one that you can switch on and off by a switch via the mains, or we do have these switches that work in conjunction with a transformer. And there's the actual little switch there, and you would switch it on and off, and that can be positioned in the unit somewhere by the side or whatever you think is discreet and where you can switch on the lights.
Now you need to drill an 11mm hole there, and that allows you then to push that up through. Just to give you some sort of idea as well, the depth on that is 20mm up to the flange there, from the back to the flange there, if you're thinking if you're needing to recess that into somewhere. Now all of these LED fittings need a transformer, and this is the standard 30-watt transformer. And it has these connections on the side here. There are four connections across the front, as you can see there, and then there are two connections across there, the side there as well.
Also in addition with this, on the other side of it as well, we also have the plug that allows you there to plug in this switch if you want to use the switch. Now this particular one that we have here is the dimmable version, and it works by just touching it like that, and we'll plug this in in a second. But as I mentioned, they come in 300mm length, which is like that, the 500, 800, and also a 1m length as well. And of course you can also add or plug these on by adding these little modules that come in the kit and adding another one and another one, etc. So you can get a lot of light over a short space of area there.
Now be mindful, obviously, that this is 30 watt. These all take a certain amount of current. So you need to add that up to make sure you don't overload the actual transformer. Now fitting these to a unit, they come with these little steel clips. I don't know if you can zoom in there and have a look at that, that's the little steel clip there like that. And the idea is that there's a little bit of a cup on either side and you fit that to your substrate and then that would clip into position there like that and hold the light fitting up underneath the unit, or in behind the back of the display cabinet, etc.
Now these come with a metre lead, and there's the connection on the end that will fit into the transformer. And there's the connection there that actually goes into the plug there like that. So if I connect that into there like that, and I plug this in and power this up here so that you guys can see exactly how they work, if I plug that into there like that, and now if I touch the aluminium, we can actually get that to come on. And there you go. There are the three stages of your brightness. So if I pop that to there, one, two and three. There you go. And those are the three stages of light, and then tap again to go off. And of course, these are all of different ranges as well.
So there you go, guys, it's an absolutely fantastic range of LED lighting available on our website. If you're thinking of ordering these, you need to consider buying the transformer and the lead, etc. And if you're going for the static ones where you need to switch it on and off, you need to get yourself a light switch, or you switch the mains, come into the transformer; the choice is up to you. There's a whole myriad range of LED lighting now available on LocksOnline.com. But if you need a bit more information about this product or any of the products that we have on our website, by all means, pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have online, or give us a call at 0845-230-02-01. So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at the LocksOnline team, thanks for taking the time to tune in and we'll catch up with you real soon. Take care, bye-bye.
