This Loox LED Black Constant Voltage Driver is for use with Loox 12V lights only.
This driver has:
- 6 sockets for 12V lights; 4 on the front, 2 on the side (Please be aware of voltage as you increase the amount of lights)
- 1 socket for a switch; A single socket on the side of the driver
- 1 socket for a country-specific mains lead
The lights, mains lead and switch would need to be purchased separately from the driver.
The 12V driver does come with an IP20 rating which means it's protected from touch by fingers and objects greater than 12mm but it's not protected from liquids. If you are installing LEDs in a bathroom or any wet areas, the driver will need to be housed somewhere secure and dry. We'd recommend consulting with an electrician first.
Input Voltage: 100 - 240V; 50 - 60Hz. Output Voltage: DC 12V
The driver is black plastic and fixings are included.
Please feel free to browse through our range of 12V lighting.

Hi, guys. My name's Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
Now over on our website, LocksOnline.com, we do a massive range of Loox LED lighting. And this particular video here is geared around what we call in the trade a slim-line LED lighting. It's an under-cabinet or under-shelf type lighting that you can actually use to illuminate a shelf or similar.
Now it's a 12-volt system. It's part of the Loox range of different type of lighting assemblies. And if you wanted to, you could fit a couple of these by the side of each other. The wiring that comes with it as standard, it allows you to wire from the transformer, which we've got here, from one fitting here and then over then to another fitting and so on. So you can actually put a few of these in a row if you wanted to do so.
Now if you think this is the ideal product for you, one of the things that are quite distinct about this is how it's actually fitted. And if you were to slide that to the sides, it's quite stiff, but it is designed to slide, and pop that slide down out here. There you go. I don't know if you can zoom in there for us. But you can actually see the screw fittings there. That's actually where you would actually screw in there. And of course, when you've screwed that one, then you slide that back the other way. And then you do exactly the same again on the other side again. That's how you actually fit them to the substrate that you want to fit them onto.
Now if you're thinking that, 'Oh, this is just ideal. This is exactly what I'm actually looking for,' great. Now what you need to consider as well is you need to get yourself a transformer. And if you want a switch as well, you can actually get a switch and then switch them on and off, of course. You can switch the mains off, but Loox actually does a little push switch to allow you to switch them off local to the actual fittings that you're using.
So this is the actual transformer. This is the standard transformer. It can actually take up to six different fittings here. If you're thinking of daisy chaining these, be conscious of load. This is a 30-watt fitting so you might need to do a bit of math so you don't overload the device. And therefore then, on the side as well, you've got the little input here to allow you to pop the switch in as well as you can see. These yellow fittings here are the fittings that allow you then to plug in the different type of light fittings, should you want to.
Now the actual switch that you can have as an accessory, this is the actual switch itself here. You need to be drilling around about an 11mm hole to drive this down into the substrate. And the height of that is round about 20mm. Okay. So this is the actual plug on the end here. And this is the actual switch, just a very simple push on, push off switch.
So what I'm going to do I'm going to plug this now into the transformer. We've got power on the transformer so we can actually switch this on and actually see exactly what it actually looks like. There you go. It's quite bright, as you can see that. It's what they call the white light, or the cool white as another name for it. It's quite intense, quite bright. It does illuminate up quite well.
So if I was actually to pop the switch in now and pop that in there like that I'm now in a position where I can turn it on and off like that, it's so simple. Okay. So that's idea, and they call it the under-cabinet lighting system that allows you can have a few of them, as many as you want to illuminate whatever you need to illuminate.
So there you go, guys. This is on our website, LocksOnline.com. If you need a little bit more information about this particular product or any of the products that we have online, by all means, pop online. Use the live chat that we have. It's totally free. Give us a call, pop us an email. Either way, we'd love to hear from you and, more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at LocksOnline team, thanks for taking the time to pop online and we'll catch up with you real soon. Take care. Bye-bye now.
