Hi guys, my name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now we're putting these short, little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer and perhaps a little bit more detail than just the standard stock image or a bit of descriptive text.
Today I want to talk to you about a glass shelf support bracket that we've got. They're obviously designed to be fitted into cupboards or cabinets, etc., to allow you to support a glass shelf within that cabinet, so to speak.
Now this is the actual support here. As you can see, it's a beautifully polished chrome version of the support. The idea would be quite simply, is that you would drill, you would fix these two fixings here screw into the actual body of the cabinet, etc., and it doesn't come with screw fixings. So you're going to need to consider the fixings that would be right for your application. And you can see there, if you zoom in close enough, you can see that they're countersunk there to actually move away from the glass.
So the idea is once actually you fit that new shelf in you have the ability then with this little screw here to allow you to actually screw this up, tight up against the glass. This would obviously be sitting, situated down like that, and it allows you then to clamp the glass and therefore then it won't move. There's a little rubber buff on there as well to actually grip the glass.
Now it's designed to work between 6 to 8-millimetre plated glass. If I can get you some quick measurements now just to see whether or not the size is suitable for you. The back plate there is 34 millimetres. The fixing centres there are 25 millimetres. The overall height or length of this is 30 millimetres and there is a slight ovaling to its shape as well. Okay? So you need to be aware of that.
And if I could try and get the overall size up, which is going to be a little bit more, you're nearly pushing there about 40 millimetres there overall length there as you can see. The actual size of the screw holes, in case you need to get yourself some fixings as well they there are about 4, 4.5, 4.2 millimetres. So about a 4-mil screw is what you'll be looking for.
