Want to add soft-close to your kitchen cabinets without replacing your hinges? These are Grass' surface-mounting soft-close devices for the Grass 'Clip-On' range.
These simple adjustable soft close devices utilise the small clip-on lugs only found on Grass hinges within their clip-on range.
The beauty of these, is that if you do have suitable hinges, these are such a cost effective way of adding soft-close, especially since only one of these is required per door! Of course if you have particularly heavy doors or highly sprung hinges, then perhaps you'd consider two, but one is enough for standard kitchen units.
Furthermore, fitting these could not be easier thanks to the perfect fit of the whole ClipOn range!
Don't have Grass Clip-On hinges? Don't worry! We have another soltuion for you here - Universal Soft-Close Add-On for Cabinets

Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm the head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now, we're putting these short little videos together to be able to give our customers the opportunity to see the products a little bit more in detail that maybe an image and a bit of description may not necessarily give you what you're actually looking for.
So what I'm going to talk to you today is about, is a range or soft closing. Not the hinges themselves but the actual devices that sit on the soft, on the hinge itself. It's designed for a cabinet sort of hinge and the manufacturers is a company called Grass. This is the basic type of hinge here as you can see. But it's not about the hinge we're talking today. It's about this assembly that can sit actually on the hinge here.
Now, this assembly is designed that when it's situated here, it's a clip on system, and when it's situated here, when the actual hinge closes, if that was to actually close there like that, all right, there would be a degree then of softness in one of these. When it comes in, it slows that last bit down. So therefore then it doesn't end up slamming into the actual cabinet itself. So that's the idea of the soft close. Now this hinge here as the manufacturers I've mentioned is Grass. It's the clip on range and the way that this works here is, this particular product has two little sits on the back end there and then it also has an adjustable thread here that allows you to adjust the amount of tension that you need. The more hinges that you've got, you may only want to put this on one hinge but if you've got two or three hinges on a door, then you can then adjust this tension here to slow it down or speed it up depending on how you want it to, how fast you want it to close.
Now the idea is, it's quite simple. Those would actually clip into a position there like that and with a bit of force, being able to put those on there, that I can push them in there with my, there you go. So I've managed to get those in there like that. A little bit of force with your finger and thumb and now when that closes against there like that, that just slows it down and makes the operation totally smooth. Okay, so, that's basically how it works. If I put that to the side there you can actually see the operation there like that. All right and it just slows it down and makes the whole way of closing your door a little bit more refined.
So there you go, guys. It's just the soft close assembly that we're talking about today. There's obviously a massive range of different types of hinges that this particular range will work on. But this is the Grass. It's the clip on range.
