Hi, guys. My name is Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and having a look at one of our product review videos.
Now we're putting some short little videos together of the products that we have to offer, which will hopefully give our customers a bit more insight into the products that we have to offer.
What I want to talk to you about today is a small little concealed hinge that's available on our website. It's a little dainty little hinge designed more for cabinets as opposed to doors. It will work up to panel thicknesses around 20 millimetres.
The measurements in regards to the actual hinge itself are listed on our website. Being able to put this like this and for the camera to be able to pick it up, etc., does give you the opportunity to see the product in the flesh, and therefore then you can understand its mechanics perhaps a little bit better. The idea is, obviously that is now in the open position. If I close that in there like that, okay, that is now closed. Of course, that would be in the frame, maybe that would be in the door. If I open the door like this, it's quite stiff because it's quite new. When you open it, then of course the door would open away like that. It will open all the way around if you need to do so.
Now very, very quickly, if you're thinking of fitting one of these let's get some quick top measurements here. You're looking at being able to drill in something in the region there of 17 millimetres into the substrate. The fixing centres on this particular hinge, I'm going to be putting that at round about 17 millimetres there. To give you some idea on the size of the hole there as well, we're looking there at about a 3.95, and it's just short of a 4 millimetre hole, probably a 4 millimetre hole there. It gives you some idea of the size of the screw that you're going to be wanting to use in which to secure this. So a beautiful little hinge. Obviously they're sold as separate, but you would need to buy at least a pair.
