This 254mm long cabin hook is part of our traditional cabin hook range of door hooks.
The idea is to provide a solution to holding doors in the open position when you require free passage without obstruction from the door.
There are many ways of acheiving this, but door hooks have been around for years and are a staple product within the ironmongery industry.
Not only are these a highly functional product, offering movement on every axis of the join, but they are also look incredible in their range of high quality finishes.
- We have noticed that there can be a degree of tollerance in the lengths of these, give or take 3mm on the length!
- The video reflects the 254mm cabin hook for demonstation purposes.

Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now, we're putting these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in, hopefully, a little bit more detail, right in the flesh, so to speak.
So today I want to show you a door hook that we have, or a cabinet hook that we have on our website. The basic principle of this is quite straightforward. Effectively, this would be bolted on to a wall, et cetera, and therefore, this would be bolted on to a door. And if you want to keep the door open at a certain angle, et cetera, you would then make sure that these would fit and tally up to wherever you want them to go. As you can see there, it's a nice, forged, brass cabinet hook, as you can see. And, obviously, it's designed to be able be moved and twisted in loads of different angles, there, as I'm moving that there with my hand. So that's quite a unique little bevelling system there. It has the ability to be completely flexible.
Now, this particular one is a brass finish as you can see. It's a casted brass product. But what I will do is give you guys some sort of idea on measurements, et cetera. If I was to pop that on there like that, so that's giving you some sort of idea of the overall. If I was to give myself some idea of the fixing centres there, you're looking at right about 204 - 205 millimetre fixing centres from that fixing centre to that fixing centre. So, it gives you an idea of the overall size on this particular cabinet hook.
Also, it comes with fixing screws as well so you have the ability to be able to screw this to the door, et cetera. If you are going to put it on to cement or mortar or anything, you may need to get yourself some wall plugs in respects to that. But, obviously, these would work here. A flathead would work on wooden doors, no problem at all, and wooden frames, et cetera.
So, there you go, guys. Just one of the products we have on our website. Of course, the video allows you to see it in the flesh so to speak, and therefore help you make a bit better of an informed decision as to whether or not this is the product that you're looking for. But listen, if you need a bit more information or you want a bit more advice, pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have, or simply do it the old fashioned way, and pick up the phone and give us a call. We'd love to hear from you and more importantly, we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So, from me, Darrel, and all of us at the team, thanks for taking the time to tune in and we'll catch up with you real soon I hope. Take care, now. Bye-bye.
