Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now, we've put these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in hopefully a little bit more detail, or in the flesh, so to speak.
Today I want to show you a foot operated door bolt that we have here. It's quite a beefy product. The idea is quite straight forward. Instead of you having to bend over and drop the bolt down into the floor, effectively you're able to operate this bolt by pushing that down there like that, which allows you to retract the bolt and then put your boot on that there like that allows you to push the bolt back down. So that's the basic principle, the basic operation of it there like that.
It's actually built, it's a fairly weighty product. It also comes as well with this plate here that allows you then to fix this to the floor and allows you to actually throw the bolt then into the keep there like that.
Loads of different applications. I can imagine these being used on a big set of industrial doors or a set of barn doors or something similar like that, somewhere where you don't necessarily want to keep bending down and obviously by utilising the foot there, maybe in a dirty, more rural sort of environment, probably on a farm or something similar like that, on a commercial application.
What I'll do very, very quickly then, there are measurements on our site but just to give you an idea of the overall size of the footprint of these, let's get some measurements for you. The actual overall size of the back plate there is 185 millimetres, and that's by 51 millimetres there. The fixing centres as well, just to give you some sort of idea there, the fixing centres are about 133, maybe 132 millimetres from fixing centre to fixing centre and that one there is about 35 millimetres. The actual bolt projection, that's how much it will come off that base downwards, is about 20 millimetres there, and the actual bolt is 15 millimetres square, give or take a mil or two.
So there you go, guys. It has its uses, it has its applications, available on our website. If you need a bit more info on this or any of the products that we have, by all means, pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have, or simply do it the old-fashioned way and pick up the phone and give us a call. We'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So from me, Darrel, and all of us at the team, thanks for taking the time to tune in. Catch up with you real soon. Take care. Bye-bye.
