This aluminium falling butt hinge is a brilliant application for anyone wanting to install their own doors, build their own furniture or even just replace old hinges.
This is made from polished anodised extruded aluminium, which is ideal if you require a hygienic metal which has self cleaning properties or is easy to clean. This would be an excellant application for hospitals, care home, schools; anywhere where hygiene is of the uttermost importance.
This butt hinge comes available in either a clockwork close function or anti-clockwise function.
Also comes with a 10 year performance guarantee ensuring longevity.
The hinge falls 13mm at 180 degrees and is suitable for doors with a maximum adjusted door weight of 20kg.
The door will open upon release, however this is not suitable for fire door applications due to it having a low melting point.
To the centre pin: 32mm
It's also worth noting that only 2 hinges per door leaf are required.
This also comes complete with the fixings - galvanised steel pins and cams.

Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I am head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. We're putting these short, little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products in a little bit more detail and hopefully help you make a bit more of an informed decision.
Today I want to show you a falling butt hinge that we have available on our website. This particular hinge is actually made out of aluminium. And the idea of this particular hinge is probably used for extreme environments or anywhere where there's a requirement to keep them nice and clean and so forth, probably hospitals, veterinary surgeries, etc., wherever you may need to be a bit more clean or so forth.
Now as you can see here, it's got aluminium on both sides there and then the centrepiece then is where the actual hinge action takes place. Now they are handed, so you would need to make sure you get left or right-handed versions and so forth. And there's the steel pin that sits in the centre there as you can see.
So what I'll do is I'll get you a couple of measurements there just to make sure that you can then check to see if this is the application, or the hinge, that you're particularly wanting to use. So the actual size of the of the leafs there are 66 mm, and the actual depth there is 26 mm to this paunch [SP] here. As you can see, there's a bit of build-up there, therefore then if I was to get that to the centre rail there, you're talking there right about 32 mm to the centre pinion there of the actual hinge itself.
So quite a specialist product. Obviously designed for certain applications. It has a form of 13 mm overall if that is something that you need to be aware of. On the back as well you'll see the handing here, obviously stamped there as a right-handed hinge in this particular application.
But listen, if you need a little bit more information, or a little bit more advice, on this or any of the products that we have, pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have, or simply do it the old-fashioned way and pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way, we'd love to hear from you and, more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. So from me, Darrel, and all of us at the team, thanks for taking the time to tune in and catch you real soon. Take care now. Bye, bye.
