Slim hinges for fitting in narrow spaces are a popular choice for bespoke design desks and similar furniture where a long hinge is required but not a lot of width is available for the mounting of a hinge.
Since this hinge is made of brass, it has an incredibly smooth pivoting action, and also provides a nice touch of decoration where other hinges may look a bit unsightly.
This hinge is designed for screw fixing, but screws will need to be purchased separately depending on the material and thickness of the panel you're mounting them to. In most cases for wood, you would require Hospa Wood Screws.
There a 3 fixing holes per leaf, giving a good even distribution of force when operating the hinged system you're utilising these on.
Measurements unfolded: Length-102mm, Width-13mm
Measurements Folded: Length-47mm (before pin)
Screw Hole Diameter: 3.6mm

Hi guys, my name is Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at Locks Online. Thanks for taking the time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now we've put these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see what we have to offer, in perhaps a little bit more detail, in the flesh, so to speak.
So today I want to talk to you about a desk hinge, it's a narrow style desk hinge that we have on our site, and this is the actual product here. Now, it's a typical brass hinge, but it's got a narrow profile to it as you can see. Now it can open all the way around, so it's virtually right back on itself there as you can see, and it has the ability to have three fixings on each leaf.
Now the overall length of the actual hinge itself, if I was to measure the actual overall length there, you're looking at 100 millimetres the overall length, and the actual width there is, let me just try and make that as accurate as I can, and getting in that is around about 12 millimetres. The correct measurements are on our website.
Now, when you looking at closing this down altogether then, now it's closed down totally flush, it gives you an idea then that you've got from the actual start of the, before the actual hinge part itself, you're looking then at a fixing surface there of around about 47 millimetres to before the pin on the actual hinge itself, just for your information. The size of the holes as well, if I can just open that up a little bit there, the size of the actual holes, if I give myself a Vernier gauge, the actual size there is about 3.6, 3.5 millimetres there. And obviously accepts a countersunk screw.
Brass finish, as you can see. Now it doesn't come with screw fittings, you need to consider which brass screws are suitable for the application that you're planning on using, so there'll be a link there on our site that will allow you then to look at screws for this particular hinge.
But there you go guys, if you need a bit more info on this or any of the products that we have, by all means pop us over an email, use the live chat, or simply do it the old fashioned way, pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way we'd love to hear from you, and more important we'd love to see you as one of our customers.
So from me, Darrel, and all of us at the team, thanks taking the time and...
