This set of traditional victorian bathroom lever handles are quite possibly the single most popular style of bathroom locking handles used in the UK.
Designed with simplicity and style in mind, the 'Victorian' lever handle sets are a timeless classic that is still holding its ground today after decades.
This particular handle set is designed for use on bathroom or even bedroom doors, where locking and unlocking is carried out by the 'turn' on the inside, and in case of emergency, there is an emergency turn on the outside which can be operated by a screwdriver, penny, or knife etc.
Don't forget that these are designed to be used on doors no more than 45mm thick (interior doors very rarely exceed this), with a morticed bathroom lock to allow the thumbturn to have effect.
As you would expect, the handles accept an 8mm spindle / follower, and the thumbturn accepts a 5mm spindle / follower. These are the industry standard sizes so them vast majority of bathroom locks should work with these!
For extra convenience, fixing screws are included with these handles!

Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I am head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now we are putting these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in a little bit more detail than perhaps the image or bit of descriptive text may offer you, and of course, being able to see our product in the flesh, so to speak, will help you to make a more informed decision.
Today I want to talk to you about a range of Victorian style handles that we have on our website. These ones here are available in a chrome or brass finish and also this particular one here is designed to work as a privacy set, like a toilet lock or a bathroom lock, etc. So the actual style is incredibly characteristic with those that are available in the U.K. You will probably find this sort of style where you've got a slight return to door at the end there with a bit of a flat bar, etc., quite popular style of handle that you will find in the U.K.
Now this is the chrome version, as you can see. Now the hole there at the bottom is designed to accept this bar here that actually sits in there. So, on the outside you have got this little two penny turn, which we call in the industry, to allow you to override the bolt that would be in the lock for this handle. And then, of course, on the inside there, which will be on the other handle or likewise, depending on the handing of the door, and that is what you will then turn to be able to lock the door from the inside.
So that is the basic principle of this particular type of handle. It comes with an 8 mm spindle to work on an 8 mm follower on a toilet or a bathroom lock and also comes with an Allen key to allow you to disassemble this and it comes with a pack of screws, as well, to fit it to the door. A lot of people, because these are so popular, they get kind of replaced quite a lot in the U.K., so if you are thinking that that is the style that you have and yours is worn out, etc., and thinking well will this actually fit, will it just sit straight on? What I am going to do is just quickly get some measurements of the actual fixing centres, so therefore then you can quickly check your fixing centres and if they are the same, well hey, presto, you might have the handle set that you're looking for.
So I will quickly do that for you now. So the fixing centres on the vertical, I got them at, give or take a millimetre, but I have got them being around about 137 mm from there to there, full-bodied handles, and the centres of the fixings there, as well, is 25, 26, I am going to be calling that 27 mm there, the fixing centres there as well. So, if those are what you have and yours is starting wear away, then perhaps these are the handles for you.
But listen, if you need a little bit more information on these or any of our handles or products that we have, by all means, pop us over a call, or use our live chat on our website. It is totally free, you can speak to me and the guys, or simply pop us over an email. Either way, we'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as our customer. So, from me, Darrel, and all of us here at the team, take care. We'll catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye.
