This Era Passage Knob Set has a retro feel / vintage effect to it, due to its popularity back in the 1960's/70's with hotels.
If you did want this to blend it with a vintage interior or retro interior, then the brass finish would be the more popular choice. If you like the knob set but want a more updated, modern look, the the satin finish would be suitable.
The backset is 60 - 70mm, which can be altered.
This is a passge set, which comes with a tubular latch but no deadlock and no keys. Purely for easy access over security. Comes as standard with a keep.
Operation: Free both sides

Hi, guys. My name's Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now we're putting these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customer, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in a little bit more detail than perhaps a little bit of image and descriptive text may not necessarily give you.
Today I want to talk to you about the Era passage lock and it's the knob set range of passage locks that's available on our website. This era is the equivalent of the traditional Weiser sort of passage knob set. This is the actual knob set itself as you can see here. It's style is probably quite familiar to some. It was really a big style back in the late 70's and the early 80's and may have been used a lot as well in the likes of hotels etc. This one is a passage set one. The idea is that there is actually no lock on this. It's just a knob set and the idea is that you would be able to open the door from either side just with this standard knob by turning it and in you would go. It's not a security product. It's more of a convenience to keep the door actually closed.
Now it comes with a tubal latch here as you can see. There's no deadlocking facility as there is no need for one. One of the distinct advantages is you can alter the backset application by pressing and holding on to that I have now moved that now from 60 millimetres, from 70 millimetres, sorry, over to 60 millimetres. If I move it back like that, I've now made it now 70 millimetres. You have the ability of changing the difference of the backset on this particular type of latch. The idea is that this would actually go through here like that and the screws would go all the way through. The screws are on here but they would be taken off. It would be slid together and then it would hold into the frame like that.
It comes standard with a key. It's available in a brass finish or I have to say this very, very nice silver finish. As finishes go I'm quite impressed with this. I have to be honest with you. It's quite a nice refined finish and there's a little bit of detailing in the finish. I don't know if you can zoom in close enough. It's like there's a degree of quality in respect to the finish on this particular knob set.
So there you go, guys. It's another product that we have to offer on our website.
